Profile of a painter and photographer

Kopo is me, Jack Purvis. When I was in the army my nickname was Jakopo which eventually was shortened to Kopo.

I am a painter with a studio in Kettering, Middle England. I paint whatever turns me on at the time, but over 90% of my works contain the face or figure, and I like every work to tell a story, not just mine, but one for the viewer also. I am influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites especially the works of Edward Coley Burne-Jones.

One model I employed was also a photographer and she got me turned on to that craft. So in addition to painting and drawing I also like to create digital artwork.

I support three charities, 'Starlight Children's Foundation', Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and NSPCC. They receive 30% of any sales I make.

Please contact me on jakopo@btinternet.com if you are interested in any of my works.
